The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) seeks a full-time research and editorial assistant to James Pethokoukis, DeWitt Wallace Chair and editor of the AEIdeas blog.
The research assistant will work closely with Mr. Pethokoukis as he produces a variety of policy analyses and opinion editorials on topics such as economic growth, innovation, and technology policy. The research assistant will also play a driving role in editing Mr. Pethokoukis’s regular newsletter Faster, Please! and producing his podcast projects. In addition, the research and editorial assistant will work with AEI scholars and staff to edit and post blog entries for AEIdeas on topics that span the greater research spectrum of the Institute. The research and editorial assistant will also liaise with AEI’s communications staff to disseminate the analysis and commentary produced for the AEIdeas blog with the goal to expose new audiences to AEI’s work.

Compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: scope and responsibilities of the position; a candidate's full-time, applicable work experience; key skills and qualifications; as well as internal and external market considerations. The salary range for this full-time, exempt position is $50,000 - $54,000. Salary is just one component of AEI’s total compensation package for employees.
